How Direct Deposit Works
Sign Up
The first step is for the employee to sign up for Direct Deposit. Complete the enrollment form to authorize your employer and Stephens & Company to make a Direct Deposit into one or more of your accounts.
Test
Stephens & Company will perform a test run with no dollar amount to make sure the account numbers have been recorded correctly.
Process
Stephens & Company processes the payment from your employer by Direct Deposit. This is also known as an ACH transaction.
Post
Your financial institution credits your account and the transaction is reported on your monthly account statement.
Confirm and Verify
Stephens & Company will provide a paper or electronic confirmation of the Direct Deposit. This will confirm the date of the deposit and will include deductions and the net payment amount.
